Sunflower oil, cold pressed, unrefined preferably of organically grown sunflowers, is one of the healthiest foods. It is rich in vitamins A, E, 81, B2, B6 and D, minerals – cilium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, selenium, calcium and zinc and polyunsaturated fatty acids.


We all love to nibble sunflower seeds, bees adore it and make a tasty honey out of it. Did you know that this old crop was ranked on the list of twenty foods that protect against cancer and that it is labeled as super food? The sunflower originates from Central America – and got to Europe in the 16th century and in the beginning it was grown as an ornamental plant. Old people of Mexico enjoyed the taste of roasted sunflower centuries before the medicinal properties of this plant became known in Europe.


The flower sunflower is composed of thousands of tiny flowers whose seeds have an exceptional nutritional value. The root of the sunflower penetrates to a depth of as much as a meter, and therefore, as well as for its extraordinary ability to absorb water and harmful substances, it is often used to clean the body, polluted even with radioactive materials. Sunflower seeds are very nutritious and calorific, but advised is moderate consumption: 100 g contains about 23 g protein, 49 g fat, 12 g carbohydrates and half the amount of plant fibers. Proteins from sunflower are very good quality and are no less worthy than those of meat.

Cold pressed sunflower oil protects against cancer and cleans the body 

Selenium and vitamin E from sunflower oil are powerful antioxidants that neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals and are very important in the prevention and treatment of malignant diseases. Cold-pressed sunflower oil only 1 tablespoon provides a daily dose of all-powerful vitamin E. With this product, the body can be rid of toxins:

  • in the morning, immediately after waking up, for 15 minutes rinse your mouth with cold pressed unrefined oil, then spit it out (do not swallow!), and then rinse mouth and teeth with water.


Polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic and phytosterols and dietary fibers from sunflower, very efficiently lower cholesterol in the blood. So the use of cold-pressed sunflower oil or nibbling on raw sunflower seeds as a snack or as an addition to breakfast. Essential fatty acids from sunflower help produce prostaglandin E1 in the body, which allows the expansion of blood vessels and prevents blood clots. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that prevents damage to blood vessels.

Sunflower oil and its seeds have a beneficial effect in the case of eczema, chapped and dry skin, and different types of dermatitis. Sunflower oil can be used for indoor and outdoor use. Linoleic acid and vitamin E increases the elasticity of the skin and slows down aging. Sunflower seeds protect nails and hair from drying out and cracking.

Sunflower seeds are food for the brain

Because of its composition, which includes vitamin B, phosphorus, lecithin and linoleic acid, sunflower seeds are an excellent food for the brain and are very useful in the case of nervousness, for the treatment of depression, insomnia, stress.


In the case of leg cramps, sunflower oil can be used for massage. You need to rub it two to three times a day, and thus pain caused by rheumatism and arthritis is reduced.

Sunflower honey

This is one of the most respected types of honey, and it is responsible for an extremely high concentration of flower pollen and minerals. Its color varies from yellow to orange, it has a pleasant taste and very quickly becomes sugary which, unfortunately, is not popular.

Sunflower honey has beneficial effects in the case of stomach, lung and kidney diseases, especially heart disease and blood vessels.

It accelerates wound healing and relieves dermatitis, rhinitis, and sinusitis. It is recommended for heart patients, the elderly who need additional energy, as well as children in the developing world.
