Joint pain and inflammation of the joints

Science still has not determined the exact cause of this problem, but it is known that heredity plays an important role. Pain in the joints manifests itself in different ways, but it can happen that some joints hurt only in the morning, while others, for example, complaints occur in intense physical activity.
  • Arthritis is a general term for more than 100 diseases associated with inflammation of the joints. The three most common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout. This chronic disease, from which suffers half of the population older than 65 years, requires long-term treatment.
  • Gout is formed by deposition of uric acid in the joints, and is expressed in the form of subcutaneous nodules. Common symptoms are sudden and sharp pain, redness and swelling of the joints. This disease mainly affects men between forty and fifty years of age. Usually, it affects only one joint - usually the big toe inflammation of the knee, elbow.   • Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease which affects women and manifests symptoms such as joint pain, stiffness in the joints and muscle tension. Fatigue often occurs.

It is important to note that there is a drug that affects the cause of the disease, or medications that greatly relieve pain. The exception is infectious arthritis caused by bacteria or viruses, but in this case prescribed is the appropriate treatment with antibiotics and other drugs. In the treatment of inflammation of the joints, commonly used are analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs and local anesthetics that are rubbed on the sore spot. Anti-inflammatory drugs reduce joint pain and inflammation, but caution is recommended in case of problems with the stomach or heart problems. Numerous research has shown that joint pain can be caused due to excessive consumption of wheat, so nutritionists advise a minimum intake of processed grains and adequate replacement (corn or brown rice). Long-term exposure to stress leads to the production of larger amounts of cortisol, a hormone responsible for the development of chronic inflammation. Since vitamin D is essential for calcium absorption in the body, inadequate intake of these substances can cause many diseases, including osteoarthritis.

New research has shown that olive oil works just as ibuprofen and relieves pain. The root of turmeric is composed of curkuminoid, which works against many infections.
