Crohn's disease is an autoimmune disease of the colon or small intestine, so-called the ileum, the symptoms are very similar to ulcerative colitis, and in about 10% of the cases it can not be distinguished.

Nutrition with Crohn's disease should be based on greater consumption of soups and broths of lean meat, and vegetable pottage which can be added to pasta made from buckwheat and brown rice. We advise toast, pureed fruits and vegetables, cooked lean beef and chicken, and fish, or skinless. Once a week you can eat soft-boiled eggs. Crohn's disease requires special care in some foods, but also avoid fizzy drinks and juices which are industrial, greasy, fried, spicy and pungent foods, mayonnaise, full-fat cream cheese, foods containing dietary fibre, corn, beans, fresh celery, broccoli and dairy products. In the case of cramps, drink chamomile tea and lemon balm and eat boiled rice (without milk and fat), as well as soup of oats and barley.

Crohn's disease can cause dehydration of the body, painful cramps, bleeding from the colon, high temperature, secondary infection, joint pain, chronic fatigue and adhesions in the intestine, requiring immediate surgical intervention so that diet can be kept only when your doctor approves it, after identifying the stage where you are. Eat little and often. The portions must be strictly controlled, which means that the amount of food should not create irritation and stop digestion. Many foods in their original form can cause a problem, but if you grind, crush, boil or chopped - less likely they are to cause a problem in the intestines. Since this is a chronic disease in which improvement and deterioration alternates, with proper treatment and therapy, patients may experience age and normal age and without major consequences. Death rate with Crohn's disease is relatively low, and largely depends on the stage of disease in which Crohn's disease is detected and when the treatment started.
