You need:
  • 50 g of butter,
  • 1 kg of chopped onion,
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar,
  • 4 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 250 ml of white wine,
  • 1,3l of beef broth,
  • 4 slices of toasted bread,
  • 140g of grated hard cheese.

Preparation of the soup:

Melt the butter over low heat and add the onion. Gently mix for 10 minutes, then add sugar and simmer for another 15 minutes while stirring. Add garlic, simmer for another 5 minutes, put the flour and stir well. Turn up the temperature and stir while you pour broth and wine. Cook covered for 15-20 minutes.

For the soup add bread with grated, melted cheese and serve. Bon appetite!

How to make Ratatouille

French cuisine is proud of this specialty, here is what you need for its preparation:
  • 2 onions,
  • 4 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 eggplants,
  • 3 zucchini,
  • 3 yellow peppers,
  • 6 ripe tomatoes,
  • Handful of fresh basil,
  • a little thyme,
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 lemon,
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil,
  • salt,
  • pepper.

Preparing Ratatouille:

In olive oil for about 5 minutes; cook eggplant, zucchini and peppers. Transfer the vegetables into another container, and in the pan the onions and garlic, basil and thyme. Simmer for about 15 minutes, return the vegetables to the pan.

Add the tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Stir and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes. On top grate the lemon rind. Enjoy!

The recipe for the chocolate soufflé

French desserts are unimaginable without soufflés with chocolate, here is what you need:
  • 35 g of butter,
  • 100 g of brown sugar,
  • 35 g of flour,
  • 200 ml of milk,
  • 7 g of salt,
  • 3 egg yolks,
  • 5 egg whites,
  • 135g of good quality dark chocolate

Preparation of soufflé:

Heat the milk and sugar over low heat. After it boils, add the flour, butter and salt, and when it all combines add chocolate. Then add the egg yolks and then the egg whites previously beaten with a little sugar.
Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for about 17 minutes at 190 ° C. Bon appetite!

How the famous béchamel sauce came to be?

Creativity, imagination and experimentation are the main characteristics of French cuisine, and this is since the days of the kings of France. Then even the nobles competed with an apron around their waist, as it may sound strange today.

Thus, for example, the famous sauce, whose main ingredients are butter and milk, was introduced to King Louis XIV by the royal minister Marquis Béchamel. It was named after its inventor, demanding that the béchamel sauce is always on his table.

You can make it by melting 50g of butter, then add the same amount of flour with gentle stirring. Before flour turns golden, add 6 dl of warm milk – stir to avoid creating lumps.
