Gastritis and heartburn, are problems that are especially pronounced in the fall and spring. Statistics show that nearly half of the inhabitants of our planet are troubling with problems associated with acute or chronic gastritis.

 It is an inflammation of the stomach lining and can be caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori, anti-inflammatory drugs, and excessive alcohol consumption.

What are the symptoms of gastritis?

Acute gastritis occurs suddenly, accompanied by heartburn and belching and nausea and uncomfortable burning sensation in the stomach, while the chronic develops gradually over a long period and is characterized by the following gastric symptoms: dull pain, bloating and loss of appetite, shortly after he entered the first bite food.

Diet with gastritis

Proper nutrition for gastritis means eating more often but smaller portions and each bite should be chewed well. Food for gastritis should not be too hot nor cold, rest between meals, never go to bed after eating and do not wear tight clothes.

Avoid cigarettes, remove soda drinks from your diet, sweets, spicy food, processed meat and bakery products because they contain a lot of trans fats. Also, it is advisable to use chewing gum, because it stimulates the secretion of gastric acid.
How does the menu for gastritis looks like

It is recommended to cook food, fruit sauces, rice, chicken and fish. The diet should include probiotic yogurt and slimy foods, such as flaxseed:
  • Pour two tablespoons of flax seed with 2 dl hot water and leave it overnight. In the morning strain and drink in small sips.

Another great recipe:
  • Every morning, half an hour before breakfast, drink a cup of freshly squeezed cabbage juice.


Gastritis Treatment with herbs 

Teas for gastritis
  • Equal parts of the centaury, yarrow, St. John's wort and teucrium chamaedrys mix together and then four tablespoons of the mixture pour with a liter of boiling water and let it sit covered for 90 minutes. Strain and drink unsweetened during the day instead of water.

Another great tea for gastritis:
  • Mix equal parts of yarrow, sage and bristles, and four tablespoons of mixture pour with 1.2 liters of boiling water and leave it covered to stand for two hours. Strain and drink unsweetened during the day instead of water.

For the treatment of gastritis take:
  • Equal parts of couch grass, chicory, white mistletoe, sage and bristles mix, and then four tablespoons of mixture pour with 1.2 liters of boiling water and let it sit covered for two hours. Strain and drink unsweetened during the day instead of water. Drink in the morning and evening, before meals, one tablespoon of St. John's oil.
