  • strain and gargle four to five times a day.

Coltsfoot tea is also recommended for the treatment of colds, especially for soothing coughs.
  • A tablespoon of finely chopped coltsfoot is poured with 2.5 dl of boiling water and leave it covered for five minutes.
  • Strain and drink two-three cups a day.

Syrup for expectoration

In order for discharge to mature and to be successfully expelled from the body we needs to use natural syrups for coughing up that are easily dissolved in the mouth and protect the mucous membranes.

Syrup for expectoration with thyme 
  • 2 tablespoons of thyme pour with 6 ounces of water and leave it overnight to rest

  • cook on mild heat until half the liquid evaporates

Syrup of Icelandic lichen
  • Mix 30 g of Icelandic lichen with 5 g of oman, black and white marshmallow, and pour a mixture with 5 ml of water and let it sit overnight.

  • Take one tablespoon of preparation several times a day.

The syrup with carrot and honey
  • Cut a pound of carrots into slices, pour with 4 dl of water and cook over a gentle heat until it softens.

  • Cooled water in which carrots cooked mix with four tablespoons of honey, then add the carrots 
  • Stir well and pour into a glass jar that has to be kept in the refrigerator.
  • Take three or four tablespoons of syrup per day.

Orange syrup against dry cough
  • One orange wash thoroughly and is together with its peal chop into small pieces, pour into a saucepan and add two tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 dl of water.

  • large root of fresh ginger is peeled and cut into cubes, add a kilo of brown sugar, stir, then pour two liters of water and keep it in the stove until it boils.
  • Cover it and let it sit for 12 hours then strain and mix with the juice of 1.5 kg of lemon.
  • Pour a syrup of ginger in a glass bottle and refrigerate.
  • Drink diluted with water.

Recipe no. 5
  • On the soles put patches that are made of 1 dl undiluted apple juice and 1 dl diluted vinegar (half water, half vinegar).
