What are the symptoms of apnea during sleep?

You are not worried, you do not know what stress is, the body is in perfect shape, and yet for months you are not sleeping well. You wake up tired, exhausted and without energy to do the obligations that await you. If you recognize yourself in the above symptoms, maybe your problem is just night-time apnea - the temporary cessation of breathing in sleep.
This disorder takes ten seconds or longer, and can be repeated even up to a hundred times during the night. The most common risk factors are age (over 60 years), obesity, thick neck, narrowed throat, heart disease, a family heirloom, excessive and regular use of alcohol, sedatives or tranquilizers, heavy smoking, chronic nasal congestion.

Sleep apnea is the interruption of breathing, which we are often not aware of, and can have very serious effects on the general state of health, because it is detrimental to the quality of sleep, which leads to: excessive daytime sleepiness and the gradual weakening of the body, and causes loud snoring, headache, problems with concentration and memory, depression, and decreased libido.

If sleep apnea is in its milder form, the doctors will usually recommend lifestyle changes - leaving cigarettes and alcoholic drinks, going to bed at a normal time, and sleeping on the side and losing the excess weight, if necessary. The beneficial homemade honey

Anti-inflammatory properties of honey contribute to the reduction of swelling in the throat, which can block the airways. In addition, local honey "lubricates throat" and so prevents or at least alleviates snoring, which is one of the most common symptoms of this disorder.

  • One possibility is to mix one teaspoon of honey with ground black pepper in a glass of lukewarm water. Before going to sleep – you should drink this beverage in small sips.

Make a mild chamomile tea

As is well known, the chemical properties of chamomile helps relax the muscles and calm the rugged body and improve sleep. In addition, its anti-inflammatory effect in alleviating swelling of the airways, this is a common cause of snoring.

In order to alleviate sleep apnea prepare the following recipe:

  • Add two teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers in a cup of warm water cover and let rest for five minutes. Strain and add a little honey and a pinch of cinnamon powder. The beverage is drunk every night before going to bed.

It is recommended to massage the neck with a mixture of essential oils of chamomile (one-third) and olive oil (two-thirds). Massage several times a day, until the sleep apnea is completely eliminated.

Alternatively, one can prepare a beverage from 1 to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder and a cup of hot water. Beverage is drunk once a day.

Lavender oil has a soothing effect

  • Put a few drops of lavender essential oil on a handkerchief and put it under your pillow, or pour the lavender oil in room spray before going to bed.

To keep sleep apnea under control the following recipe is recommended:

  • Put two tablespoons of dried lavender in a cup of warm water. Cover and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes. Filter and sweeten with honey. It can be drunk two or three times during the day.

Phenomenal garlic

Anti-inflammatory properties of garlic relieve pain caused by uncomfortable sleep apnea. It helps with the inflammation of the airways, making it easier to breathe at night. Garlic reduces the inflammation of the tonsils and so reduces the possibility of snoring.

It is best to eat two to three cloves on an empty stomach, and then drink a glass of water. However, many avoid eating it because of the smell, which is very uncomfortable for other people. Talk to the doctor about the choices of taking it in the form of other mixtures.

Beat the sleep apnea syndrome with homemade remedies

Peppermint removes sleeping problems

It has a great anti-inflammatory effect and helps with breathing. In addition, it prevents loud snoring in sleep.

  • Put a few drops of peppermint oil in a glass of water. Rinse the throat with this liquid every day before going to bed.

Night time apnea can be prevented with tea. It is recommended to drink two or three cups of mint tea during the day.

  • Put a tablespoon of dried mint into a cup of hot water, cover and let it rest for ten minutes. After that, filter it and sweeten with honey. The tea should be drunk while still warm.

Turmeric and milk are a powerful combination

Milk contains tryptophan, which promotes sleep, and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric have a beneficial effect on inflammation of the airways and ease breathing.

  1. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of milk.
  2. Cook until it boils, then reduce the temperature and leave it for a few minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add a teaspoon of honey.
  4. Drink every day, half an hour before going to bed.

A bath with Epson salt

Naturopaths recommend a bath to which we add Epson salt (magnesium sulphate) for good and sound sleep. Magnesium, which is abundant in it, relaxes the muscles causing a feeling of comfort, even if sleep apnea is common.

  • In the tub filled with warm water put two cups of Epsom salt until everything mixes well. Lie in the water and stay in it for twenty minutes, at least an hour before going to bed. The soothing bath is recommended two or three times a week.

Almonds prevent apnea

Rich in magnesium, almonds enhance sleep and contributes to muscle relaxation, which is very important if obstructive sleep apnea has been diagnosed. They even contribute to the regulation of body's internal clock.

  • Eat a handful of roasted or dried almonds every day.

Try the gooseberries juice

Half a cup of gooseberry juice is a great natural cure for snoring and sleep apnea. It should be drunk every day before going to bed.
