Why do dark spots on the skin appear?

The most common cause of dark spots and freckles on the face is usually referred to long-term exposure to the sun rays. Because of that there is an increased production of melanocytes, which cause depigmentation of arms, legs or face. Of course, this is not the only reason, our age and genetics, and many other factors play an important role as well.

Stress is also one of them, then liver disease, menopause, smoking, and lack of vitamin B12 or C. Most visible are dark spots on the face if we have a lighter complexion, and we therefore have the biggest trouble to conceal or remove them.

Also depigmentation can occur on other parts of the skin which has been most exposed to sunlight during the warmer days – parts of the body are:  the back, neck, chest, arms and shoulders.
In case dark spots on the face do not change its colour or size, they are considered to be completely harmless and are more aesthetic than a health issue. But even then they are giving us a lot of problems because their removal is not as simple as many initially thought.

It takes persistence and consistency in therapy in order to achieve improvement. Before using any products for skin whitening, whether purchased or home-made, it is necessary to consult a dermatologist.

We have prepared some extraordinary recipes to naturally remove freckles and sunspots, and ingredients for it you already have in your household.

The irreplaceable parsley

This herb has proven to be a very effective tool, which effectively removes sunspots, acne and blemishes on the face and skin. It is most effective when used as a lotion, which is prepared as follows:
  • Pour 25 grams of fresh parsley leaves with 2 dl water and cook until it boils, then remove it from heat and leave it covered to cool. Then filter it well and mix the resulting liquid with 3 dl of mineral water, which was previously left in a glass to evaporate. Parsley lotion should be poured into a glass bottle and left in a refrigerator. Use it in the morning and evening for face cleaning. Spots and stains on the face will first fade, and then completely disappear if the lotion is used daily.

You can also make a facemask out of parsley, which will not only remove stains and spots on the skin, but will give her back the elasticity. For its preparation fresh leaves and stems of parsley are essential. The root is also essential if the mask is prepared in the spring.
  • Approximately two tablespoons of minced parsley is applied to a previously cleaned face and kept on the face for a half an hour. Rinse it with cold water, and then apply a moisturizing cream.
